Hey everybody, welcome to the podcast, I’m Malena and it’s awesome to be here with you today.
Today is March 28.
Each day, we follow a simple rhythm: Slow Down, Read, Notice, Reread, Meditate, Respond, and Exercise.
Let’s begin.
Slow Down
Jesus is here.
He’s sitting in your favorite spot, waiting for you to join Him.
You have a million things on your mind that need your attention, but right now it’s time to be with Jesus.
Set those things aside, relax, and calm your body.
Close your eyes. Take a deep breath in, then slowly release it.
As you inhale, whisper: “Jesus, shape my heart.”
As you exhale, pray: “Give me hunger for what matters.”
Do this three times, then rest in His presence.
Read
God blesses those who are humble,
for they will inherit the whole earth.
God blesses those who hunger and thirst for justice,
for they will be satisfied. (Matthew 5:5–6, NLT)
Notice
What stands out to you in this passage?
Is there a word or phrase that catches your attention?
Hold it in your heart for a moment.
Reread
Hear these Beatitudes again as promises spoken over the gentle and those who long for things to be set right.
Meditate
Jesus blesses the humble (often translated “meek” or “gentle”). In a world that rewards aggression and self‑promotion, He says the gentle will “inherit the whole earth.” God’s kingdom flips the script.
He also blesses those who “hunger and thirst for justice” (or righteousness)—those who ache for things to be right, in their own hearts and in the world. To them, He promises satisfaction: God Himself will answer that hunger.
Take a few moments to reflect on this question:
Where do I sense a real hunger for God’s way—either in my own life or in the world—and how can I bring that hunger honestly to Jesus?
Respond
Jesus, thank You for blessing the humble and the hungry. Grow in me a gentle spirit and a deep longing for Your justice and righteousness. Satisfy my hunger with more of Yourself and Your ways.
Exercise
The rush of life will meet you again when you leave this sacred place—but you can carry this moment into your day by forming new habits.
Habit: Share a Short Reflection
Today, post a brief reflection on social media—or send a message to a friend—about one of these verses.
It could be as simple as: “I’m thinking about what it means that God blesses the humble and those who hunger for justice (Matthew 5:5–6).”
As you share, pray: “Lord, use this to stir hunger for You.”
That’s your two minutes with Jesus for today.
Now, take what you’ve heard… and live it.
Until next time, keep slowing down, keep listening, and keep walking with Jesus.
