Hey everybody, welcome to the podcast, I’m Nick and it’s amazing to be here with you today.
Today is March 10.
Each day, we follow a simple rhythm: Slow Down, Read, Notice, Reread, Meditate, Respond, and Exercise.
Let’s begin.
Slow Down
We carry so much around every day — financial worries, relational stress, anxiety about the future, and the pressure to succeed.
Now is the time to set those things down for a few minutes and enjoy some time with Jesus.
Close your eyes. Take a deep breath in, then slowly release it.
As you inhale, whisper: “Jesus, I look to You.”
As you exhale, pray: “Align my heart with Yours.”
Do this three times, then rest in His presence.
Read
So Jesus explained, “I tell you the truth, the Son can do nothing by himself. He does only what he sees the Father doing. Whatever the Father does, the Son also does. For the Father loves the Son and shows him everything he is doing. In fact, the Father will show him how to do even greater works than healing this man. Then you will truly be astonished. For just as the Father gives life to those he raises from the dead, so the Son gives life to anyone he wants. (John 5:19–21, NLT)
Notice
What stands out to you in this passage?
Is there a phrase that surprises or challenges you?
Hold it in your heart for a moment.
Reread
Hear the words again slowly, listening for what Jesus might be saying to you personally.
Meditate
Jesus says He does nothing by Himself. He only does what He sees the Father doing. His miracles, His words, His timing—they all flow from this intimate, loving relationship.
“The Father loves the Son and shows him everything he is doing.”
Jesus’ ministry is not driven by pressure or performance but by love and alignment with the Father’s heart.
Then He says something even more staggering: just as the Father gives life to the dead, the Son gives life to anyone He wants. The life‑giving power of God is flowing through Jesus.
Take a few moments to reflect on this question:
What would it look like for me to live more like Jesus—doing less “by myself” and paying more attention to what the Father is already doing around me?
Respond
Jesus, thank You for revealing the heart of the Father.
Teach me to move from striving to listening—from forcing things on my own to watching for where You are already at work.
Give me eyes to see, and a willing heart to join You.
Exercise
The rush of life will meet you again when you leave this sacred place—but you can carry this moment into your day by forming new habits.
Habit: Keep One Verse in View
Today, choose one phrase or verse from John 5:19–21 that stands out to you.
Write it on a sticky note and place it where you’ll see it often—on your desk, mirror, or dashboard.
Each time you notice it, pause and pray: “Father, help me live this truth with You.”
That’s your two minutes with Jesus for today.
Now, take what you’ve heard… and live it.
Until next time, keep slowing down, keep listening, and keep walking with Jesus.
