Slow down. Meet Jesus. Let His Word shape your day.

Walking with Jesus to the Cross: Reflections on Mark 15

In Week 15 of An Apprenticeship to Jesus, we arrive at one of the most profound moments in the Gospel of Mark—the crucifixion and burial of Jesus.

From the unjust trial before Pilate to the mocking of soldiers, from the darkness at noon to His final breath, Mark 15 confronts us with the depth of Jesus’ obedience and love. We see Simon of Cyrene carrying the cross, the women watching faithfully from a distance, and Joseph of Arimathea courageously asking for Jesus’ body.

This passage challenges us to consider:

What did Jesus say and do in His final hours?

How do His actions shape our understanding of faith and courage?

How can we live like Jesus this week?

Spiritual Practices for the Week:

Coloring Scripture Art – Reflect creatively on God’s Word.
Scripture Memory – Commit 1 John 4:7 to heart.
Gratitude Journal – End each day with thanksgiving.

As we meditate on Mark 15, may we slow down, listen, and walk closely with Jesus—even in the shadow of the cross.
