Hey everybody, welcome to the podcast, I’m Leona and it’s fantastic to be here with you today.
Today is March 26.
Each day, we follow a simple rhythm: Slow Down, Read, Notice, Reread, Meditate, Respond, and Exercise.
Let’s begin.
Slow Down
You are stepping into a sacred space with Jesus.
Set aside the distractions of your day.
Close your eyes. Take a deep breath in, then slowly release it.
As you inhale, whisper: “Jesus, I’m here.”
As you exhale, pray: “Open my heart to You.”
Do this three times, then rest in His presence.
Read
One day as he saw the crowds gathering, Jesus went up on the mountainside and sat down. His disciples gathered around him, and he began to teach them.
When they came down from the mountain, the disciples stood with Jesus on a large, level area, surrounded by many of his followers and by the crowds. There were people from all over Judea and from Jerusalem and from as far north as the seacoasts of Tyre and Sidon. They had come to hear him and to be healed of their diseases; and those troubled by evil spirits were healed. Everyone tried to touch him, because healing power went out from him, and he healed everyone. (Matthew 5:1–2; Luke 6:17–19, NLT)
Notice
What stands out to you in this passage?
Is there a word or phrase that catches your attention?
Hold it in your heart for a moment.
Reread
Hear the passage again slowly, listening for what God is speaking to you.
Meditate
Matthew and Luke show us two scenes that belong together. Jesus goes up the mountain; His disciples gather, and He begins to teach. Then He is with them on a level place, surrounded by crowds who come to hear and be healed.
They come for words and for power—for teaching and for touch. Luke says power goes out from Him, and He heals everyone.
Jesus doesn’t just offer ideas about God; He brings God’s presence, healing, and authority into real human need.
Take a few moments to reflect on this question:
Where do I most need Jesus right now—as Teacher, as Healer, or as the One whose presence I can simply draw near to?
Respond
Jesus, thank You that You teach with authority and heal with power. I bring You the places in my life where I need Your word, Your touch, and Your presence. Help me come to You today with the same hunger as those crowds.
Exercise
The rush of life will meet you again when you leave this sacred place—but you can carry this moment into your day by forming new habits.
Habit: Offer Practical Help
Today, look for a simple way to help a coworker, neighbor, or family member with a task—carrying something, finishing a chore, or stepping in where they’re stressed.
As you serve, silently pray: “Jesus, let Your healing presence flow through this small act of love.”
That’s your two minutes with Jesus for today.
Now, take what you’ve heard… and live it.
Until next time, keep slowing down, keep listening, and keep walking with Jesus.
