Hey everybody, welcome to the podcast, I’m Nick and it’s an honor to be here with you today.
Today is March 8.
Each day, we follow a simple rhythm: Slow Down, Read, Notice, Reread, Meditate, Respond, and Exercise.
Let’s begin.
Slow Down
Jesus is glad you’re here. He longs to spend time with you. He loves you deeply and wants to be in your presence.
Take a moment to pause, quiet your mind, and turn your attention toward Him.
Close your eyes. Take a deep breath in, then slowly release it.
As you inhale, whisper: “Jesus, You see me.”
As you exhale, pray: “Search my heart.”
Do this three times, then rest in His presence.
Read
The man didn’t know, for Jesus had disappeared into the crowd. But afterward Jesus found him in the Temple and told him, “Now you are well; so stop sinning, or something even worse may happen to you.” Then the man went and told the Jewish leaders that it was Jesus who had healed him. (John 5:13–15, NLT)
Notice
What stands out to you in this passage?
Is there a phrase or truth that speaks directly to you?
Reread
Imagine the healed man in the Temple, and Jesus seeking him out in the crowd and speaking these words directly to him.
Meditate
After the miracle, the man doesn’t even know who healed him—Jesus has slipped away. But Jesus isn’t finished. He goes looking for the man and finds him in the Temple.
“Now you are well; so stop sinning, or something even worse may happen to you.”
These words may sound harsh, but they are spoken by the same One who just restored his body. Jesus cares about more than physical healing; He cares about the man’s whole life, including his relationship with God.
Grace comes first—“Now you are well.” Then comes the call: live differently. Jesus doesn’t heal us just so we can return to old patterns; He heals us to walk in a new way.
Take a moment to reflect on this question:
Where has Jesus brought healing or help in my life—and how might He be inviting me to live differently because of it?
Respond
Jesus, thank You for finding me and making me well in so many ways.
Show me where I’ve drifted back into old patterns.
By Your Spirit, help me respond to Your grace with a changed life.
Exercise
The rush of life will meet you again when you leave this sacred place—but you can carry this moment into your day by forming new habits.
Habit: Pray Before You Speak
Today, before an important conversation—at work, at home, or with a friend—pause for a brief moment and pray:
“Lord, give me words that encourage and reflect Your heart.”
Then step into the conversation, trusting Him to guide your tone and responses.
Thank you for spending these moments with me on the 2 Minute Disciple Podcast and for making this part of your daily time with Jesus. As we continue our yearlong journey through His life, I pray that His words are shaping your heart and guiding your steps.
