Hey everybody, welcome to the podcast, I’m Nick and I’m thrilled to be here today. Today is February 11.
Each day, we follow a simple rhythm: Slow Down, Read, Notice, Reread, Meditate, Respond, and Exercise.
Let’s begin.
Slow Down
You are stepping into a sacred space with the intent of meeting Jesus.
He wants to meet with you and spend time with you.
Take this moment to slow down, quiet your mind, and prepare your heart to connect with Him.
Close your eyes. Take a deep breath in, then slowly release it.
As you inhale, whisper: “Lord, I trust You.”
As you exhale, pray: “Increase my faith.”
Do this three times, then sit in silence for a few moments.
Read
As he traveled through Galilee, he came to Cana, where he had turned the water into wine. There was a government official in nearby Capernaum whose son was very sick.
When he heard that Jesus had come from Judea to Galilee, he went and begged Jesus to come to Capernaum to heal his son, who was about to die.
Jesus asked, “Will you never believe in me unless you see miraculous signs and wonders?”
The official pleaded, “Lord, please come now before my little boy dies.”
Then Jesus told him, “Go back home. Your son will live!” And the man believed what Jesus said and started home.
While the man was on his way, some of his servants met him with the news that his son was alive and well.
He asked them when the boy had begun to get better, and they replied, “Yesterday afternoon at one o’clock his fever suddenly disappeared!”
Then the father realized that was the very time Jesus had told him, “Your son will live.” And he and his entire household believed in Jesus.
(John 4:46–54, NLT)
Notice
What stands out to you in this passage? Is there a word or phrase that catches your attention? Hold it in your heart for a moment.
Reread
Hear the passage again slowly, picturing the father’s journey from pleading to believing.
Meditate
The official’s faith was shown in action — he walked away trusting Jesus’ word before seeing the miracle. Faith isn’t just believing that God can; it’s acting as if He already has. This kind of trust is powerful because it rests on God’s character, not on visible evidence.
Take a few moments to reflect on this question:
Do I trust Jesus enough to act on His word without waiting for proof?
Respond
Thank You, Lord, for providing for me and revealing Your glory. Help me to respond with faith and trust.
Exercise
The rush of life will meet you again when you leave this sacred place—but you can carry this moment into your day by forming new habits.
Habit: God is Here
The official in today’s passage acted on Jesus’ words before seeing the miracle. His faith was rooted in trust that Jesus was present and working, even when he couldn’t see the outcome yet.
Today, practice that same faith-awareness by pausing at different moments and reminding yourself: “God is here.”
Before you start a task, whisper it. When you face a challenge, say it again. Let this truth shape your attitude, calm your fears, and give you courage to act in obedience.
If you find yourself doubting or feeling alone, repeat it until your heart catches up with your mind — because God’s presence is constant, whether or not you can see the results yet.
When I started the 2 Minute Disciple Podcast, my goal was simple — to help busy believers get to know Jesus a little better each day. If this podcast has encouraged you, would you consider supporting it on Buy Me a Coffee? Your gift helps us keep sharing God’s Word, improve our quality, and reach more hearts. You can find the link in the show notes. Thank you for being part of this ministry.
That’s your two minutes with Jesus for today.
Now, take what you’ve heard… and live it.
Until next time, keep slowing down, keep listening, and keep walking with Jesus.
