Hey everybody, welcome to the podcast, I’m Kylie and it’s an honor to be here with you today.
Today is March 22.
Each day, we follow a simple rhythm: Slow Down, Read, Notice, Reread, Meditate, Respond, and Exercise.
Let’s begin.
Slow Down
Jesus is here.
He’s sitting in your favorite spot, waiting for you to join Him.
You have a million things on your mind that need your attention, but right now it’s time to be with Jesus.
Set those things aside, relax, and calm your body.
Close your eyes. Take a deep breath in, then slowly release it.
As you inhale, whisper: “Jesus, You are my refuge.”
As you exhale, pray: “Quiet the noise inside me.”
Do this three times, then rest in His presence.
Read
Jesus went out to the lake with his disciples, and a large crowd followed him. They came from all over Galilee, Judea, Jerusalem, Idumea, from east of the Jordan River, and even from as far north as Tyre and Sidon. The news about his miracles had spread far and wide, and vast numbers of people came to see him.
Jesus instructed his disciples to have a boat ready so the crowd would not crush him. He had healed many people that day, so all the sick people eagerly pushed forward to touch him. And whenever those possessed by evil spirits caught sight of him, the spirits would throw them to the ground in front of him shrieking, “You are the Son of God!” But Jesus sternly commanded the spirits not to reveal who he was. (Mark 3:7–12, NLT)
Notice
What stands out to you in this passage?
Is there a word or phrase that catches your attention?
Hold it in your heart for a moment.
Reread
See the scene again: crowds pressing in, a small boat ready, sick people reaching out, and demons falling down before Jesus.
Meditate
The news about Jesus has spread from near and far. People are desperate—pushing forward just to touch Him. It’s noisy, crowded, chaotic.
In the middle of all this, even evil spirits recognize Him: “You are the Son of God!” Yet Jesus silences them. He refuses to let demons define His identity or His timing, even when they’re technically telling the truth.
Jesus is not overwhelmed by the crowd or intimidated by demonic powers. He moves with calm authority, caring for the sick while guarding the shape of His mission.
Take a few moments to reflect on this question:
Where do I feel pressed in by “crowds” of demands, fears, or voices—and how can I fix my attention on Jesus’ calm authority instead?
Respond
Jesus, You are the Son of God, calm in the middle of the chaos.
When I feel pushed and pulled by many voices, help me remember that You are in control.
Teach me to come to You, not just with my needs, but with my noise.
Exercise
The rush of life will meet you again when you leave this sacred place—but you can carry this moment into your day by forming new habits.
Habit: Start the Day with a Whispered Prayer
Before you start your workday or main responsibilities today, pause and whisper a short prayer:
“Jesus, be Lord over this day—my time, my thoughts, and my conversations.”
Let this simple beginning remind you that you don’t face the “crowds” alone.
That’s your two minutes with Jesus for today.
Now, take what you’ve heard… and live it.
Until next time, keep slowing down, keep listening, and keep walking with Jesus.
