Hey everybody, welcome to the podcast, I’m Nick and it’s an honor to be here with you today. Today is February 25.
Each day, we follow a simple rhythm: Slow Down, Read, Notice, Reread, Meditate, Respond, and Exercise.
Let’s begin.
Slow Down
You are stepping into a sacred space with the intent of meeting Jesus.
He wants to meet with you and spend time with you.
Take this moment to slow down, quiet your mind, and prepare your heart to connect with Him.
Close your eyes. Take a deep breath in, then slowly release it.
As you inhale, whisper: “Lord, I trust You.”
As you exhale, pray: “Increase my faith.”
Do this three times, then sit in silence for a few moments.
Read
In one of the villages, Jesus met a man with an advanced case of leprosy. When the man saw Jesus, he bowed with his face to the ground and begged to be healed. “Lord,” he said, “if you are willing, you can heal me and make me clean.”
Jesus reached out and touched him. “I am willing,” he said. “Be healed!” And instantly the leprosy disappeared.
(Luke 5:12–13, NLT)
Notice
What stands out to you in this passage? Is there a word or phrase that catches your attention? Hold it in your heart for a moment.
Reread
Hear the passage again slowly, picturing the man’s desperation in coming to Jesus.
Meditate
The man’s leprosy was advanced — his body bore the marks of years of suffering, and his soul carried the weight of isolation. People avoided him, not just out of fear of disease, but because society had labeled him “unclean.”
When he sees Jesus, he falls to the ground in humility and hope. His words are simple but profound: “If you are willing…” It’s more than a request for healing — it’s a question about worth. Am I worth Your time? Your touch? Your love?
Jesus doesn’t just speak — He reaches out and touches the untouchable. That touch says, You matter. You belong. You are loved. And in that moment, everything changes — the disease is gone, but so is the shame.
This is the heart of Jesus: He steps into our mess, touches our brokenness, and restores our dignity.
Take a few moments to reflect on this question:
Where do I feel “untouchable” in my life, and will I let Jesus touch that place with His love?
Respond
Thank You, Lord, for stepping into my mess and bringing restoration.
Exercise
The rush of life will meet you again when you leave this sacred place—but you can carry this moment into your day by forming new habits.
Habit: Touch of Love
Today, find a way to offer a “touch of love” to someone who may feel overlooked — it could be a handshake, a hug, a pat on the shoulder, or even sitting beside them in silence.
As you do, silently pray: “Lord, let this touch carry Your love and affirmation.”
If physical touch isn’t appropriate, offer presence — your undivided attention — as a way to affirm their value.
If you’ve made it this far in the episode, I’m guessing this time with Jesus matters to you.
One of the best ways you can partner with this ministry is by leaving a rating and review in Apple Podcasts. It doesn’t take long, but it tells Apple to show this daily devotional podcast to more people.
Just tap the stars, and if you have a moment, share one sentence about how 2 Minute Disciple has helped you.
That’s your two minutes with Jesus for today.
Now, take what you’ve heard… and live it.
Until next time, keep slowing down, keep listening, and keep walking with Jesus.
