Each day, we follow a simple rhythm: Slow Down, Read, Notice, Reread, Meditate, Respond, and Exercise.
Let’s begin.

Slow Down

We carry so much around every day — financial worries, relational stress, anxiety about the future, and the pressure to succeed.
Now is the time to set those things down for a few minutes and enjoy some time with Jesus.
Close your eyes. Take a deep breath in, then slowly release it.
As you inhale, whisper: “Jesus, I rejoice with you.”
As you exhale, pray: “When one sinner repents.”
Do this three times, then rest in His presence.

Read

“Or suppose a woman has ten silver coins and loses one. Won’t she light a lamp and sweep the entire house and search carefully until she finds it? And when she finds it, she will call in her friends and neighbors and say, ‘Rejoice with me because I have found my lost coin.’ In the same way, there is joy in the presence of God’s angels when even one sinner repents.”
(Luke 15:8-10, NLT)

Reread

Hear this passage again — and notice what Jesus is saying to you.

Meditate

Jesus continues to respond to the complaints of the Pharisees with a second story. First, a shepherd searches for one lost sheep. Now, a woman searches for one lost coin.
Notice the details. She doesn't just glance around. She lights a lamp. She sweeps the entire house. She searches carefully. She's thorough. She's persistent. She won't stop until she finds it.
And when she does? She doesn't quietly slip the coin back into her purse and move on. She calls together her friends and neighbors and throws a celebration. "Rejoice with me because I have found my lost coin."
It's the same message as the shepherd's story, but told through a different lens. And it's personal—this is a woman's story, a story about something precious that belongs to her, something she's willing to turn her whole house upside down to find.
Here's what Jesus is emphasizing: the effort that goes into the search, and the joy—the genuine, unrestrained joy—that erupts when what was lost is found.
But there's something deeper here too. Jesus says, "In the same way, there is joy in the presence of God's angels when even one sinner repents."
One sinner. Not a thousand. Not a revival. One person turning back to God causes the angels to rejoice. One person saying yes to Jesus creates a celebration in heaven.
That means your repentance mattered. Your turning around mattered. Your homecoming was worth celebrating.
And it also means: when you encounter someone else's repentance, when you see someone turning back to God, you're invited to join that celebration. You're invited to rejoice with the angels.
The question isn't just, "Do I know I'm worth searching for?" It's also, "Do I have the heart to celebrate when others are found?"
Take a few moments to reflect on this question:
What would it look like for me to have the heart of the woman in this story—willing to search, willing to celebrate, willing to call others into the joy?

Respond

Jesus, give me Your joy. Help me celebrate when others turn back to You. Remove any judgment or skepticism from my heart. Make me someone who calls others into celebration, not someone who stands on the sidelines. Help me rejoice with the angels.

Exercise

The rush of life will meet you again when you leave this sacred place—but you can carry this moment into your day by forming new habits.
Habit: Call Them In
Today's habit is an act of genuine celebration.
The woman didn't keep her joy to herself. She called in her friends and neighbors. She made it communal. She invited others to share in her happiness.
Today, identify one person in your life who has experienced a spiritual breakthrough, a moment of repentance, a turning point toward God. It might be recent or it might be from months ago.
Now do this:
Reach out to them. Call, text, or meet in person.
Tell them specifically what you've noticed about their change. Be genuine. Be specific.
Say: "I want you to know that I see what God is doing in your life, and I'm celebrating with you. Your turning back to Jesus matters. It matters to me, and it matters to heaven."
You're not the one who found them. Jesus did. But you can be someone who calls others into the celebration. You can be someone who says, "Rejoice with me."
This isn't about flattery or false encouragement. It's about genuine recognition of God's work. It's about joining the angels in their joy.
One person's repentance is worth celebrating. Today, make sure they know it.
