But Jesus turns first to His disciples with a specific and personal warning: "Beware of the yeast of the Pharisees—their hypocrisy." Yeast is a powerful and unsettling image. You can't see it working. It spreads slowly, invisibly, through the whole batch of dough. By the time you notice it, it's already everywhere. Through guided meditation, discover what hypocrisy actually looks like in practice. It starts small—a carefully managed impression here, a version of yourself you present to certain people there. A mask for work, a mask for church, a mask for social media, a mask for home. The private version of you. The things you've said in the dark. The thoughts you've entertained behind closed doors. The gap between your public faith and your private life. It will all come out. This episode explores the profound invitation hidden inside that warning. You can choose to live in the open now—or have everything exposed later. You can take off the mask voluntarily—or have it torn off. Living in the open is terrifying. So why are you angry with me for healing a man on the Sabbath?" Both acts involve work. Both involve touching the body. Both happen on the Sabbath. But the religious leaders celebrate one and condemn the other. Why? Because circumcision is their tradition, their law, their practice. But healing is Jesus' work—outside their control. Episode 23: Matthew Chapter 23

We continue to move forward through the Gospels and are in Matthew 23. This passage of scripture is a mirror into our own souls to point out our hypocrisy. The Pharasees were experts at being hypocrites and Jesus calls them out for that. When we read this chapter, our tendancy is to see their hypocrisy and applaud Jesus for getting on them when we do the same things.
